There are many natural and historical sites worth travelling to Kuşadası and its surroundings.
The building, which was constructed by Grand Vizier Öküz Mehmet Pasha in the 17th century, is being used as a hotel and restaurant at present. It also has a great reputation for special Turkish Night show in it’s authentic atmosphere.

The Historical Turkish Baths “hamam”s that remain since the 16th and 18th century still in operation. There are two historical Turkish Baths still serving in Kuşadası.

The ruins of this antique city established by the soldires of Agamemnon as a curing center are around the North entrance of Kuşadası.
Kursunlu MonasteryKURŞUNLU MONASTERY
Kurşunlu Monastery which is a 13th century Byzantine construction has an altitute of 1000m on the Samsun Mountains which is southwest of Davutlar.
This sacred place where 12 Ionian cities met annually in the antique era is near Güzelçamlı site.
It is designed as a sea-linked lake recreation area behind Pygale Beach. It comprises of natural beaches, Sailing and Rowing Clubs, traditional country café, sports fields and walking path where flamingos often visit during the summer. Planted with trees, exemplifying the Aegean Flora, Adagöl is a nice recreational area where one may have a good time during the day.
It is prehistoric settlement by the seaside on which Byzantine Castle was built. It is about siteler sites.
A thicket promenade area with a view of the entire gulf where colossal Atarük statue stands. It was designed as a park from where it is possible to watch the ships approaching the gulf due to its excellent viewpoint. It is an exotic place to watch the sunset from the Panorama Café.
Pigeon Island PIGEON ISLAND
The castle from which Kuşadası took its name and is the symbol of the city had been used during the Byzantine, Genevan, Venetian and Ottoman periods.
EPHESUS (20 KM)
Antique Ephesus was one of the greatest and most important cities of the world. Today, it is indeed one of the well preserved antique cities of the world. The grand theater with a capacity of 24.000 people, Celcus Library, Uphill Houses are just some of the attractive features that draw attention. Famous philosopher Herakleitos had lived here. Ephesus also has a significant place for the Christian World. The house where the Virgin Mary died and monastery are on Bülbül Mountain, which is one of the hills neighbouring Ephesus. The church of Saint Jean who was one of the 12 apostles, is in Seljuk near Ephesus. Also the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the world, are in Ephesus. Selçuk-Ephesus Museum, where invaluable archeological pieces are exhibited, is one of the most important museums in Turkey.

The ruins of Temple of Apollo, which was one of the most important sacred areas and prophecy centers of the antique era, are still outstanding today.
MILETOS (60 KM)
Miletos was rhe city of philosophers where Thales, Anexegoras and many Greek Philosophers and mathematicians lived in the antique era. It still has an outstanding attractiveness with 15.000 people capacity theatre, agora, baths and other ruins.
PRIENE (35 KM)
It is one of the important speciman of early city planning with the grid-planned streets, firstly, invented by Hippodamos of Miletos in the 4th century B.C. Grid city plans are still used in many cities of the world. The principal constructions that are worth seeing in Priene are Theatre, Temple of Athena and Harbour Avenue.
PamukkalePAMUKKALE HIERAPOLIS (210 KM)
Pamukkale, with its white travetine, petrified salty limestone of thermal underwaters is a unique place no other natural formation exists in any corner of the world. The fantastic geographical formation is face with Hierapolis.
APHRODISIAS (170 KM)
The city that was devoted to Aphrodite the goddess of Beauty. It still maintains its magnificence with the ruins of theater, stadium and baths; which are work of art.
HERAKLIA UNDER LATMOS
The city of Karia near lake Bafa, which was a gulf in the antique era, has a very rare beauty with its ruins as well as its location and its nature.
ŞİRİNCE (25 km)
It is an old Greek mountain village surrounded by vineyards and olive trees near Seljuk town. It is a beautiful town where you can spend a nostaljic time with its unique historical wooden houses, church and home made wines.
The village near Söke, is a place worth seeing, like Şirince, that had preserved its historical and natural sight until today. Since there are a few organized tours to this village there is no tourist commerce designation. Yo may travel to doğanbey village by cars or motorbike that you rent. You may eat fresh sea products in the modest restaurants in Karina, which is by the seaside.
BİRGİ – BOZDAĞ (120 KM)
Birgi is an old Ottoman town, in which there is the Çakırağa Mansion with its authentic architecture is worth seeing. Moving from Birgi to Bozdağ you may have a meal near the volcanic lake, which has an altitude of 4500 feet.
SACRED SUNDAY MASS TOUR
Anybody who wants to participate in the rites may go to the house of Virgin Mary, on Sundays by joining the organized tours through their agencies.
Every Tuesday and Friday market places are established in Kuşadası. You may also travel to authentic market places to see and make shopping in neighbouring towns like Selçuk, Söke, Ödemiş and Tire.
